... Why don't you get a thiomeral allergy patch test? That way you'll know one way or another. The T-free vax might be easier to get with a diagnosis. ... Hey jriegel, Like kehorner said, TB injections and tetanus (DT booster) are two separate things. The TB subdermal injections are (for some) an annual test to see if your body has a reaction to the material injected (the results tell whether providers need to test more for or treat tuberculosis). ... It's the 10 year booster for Td/Tetanus-Diptheria, not TB. You could get the flu shot yearly, the Hep B vaccination, the Varicella (Chicken Pox) if you havent had it and your second MMR if you havent had it. (5 replies)

The HEP B vaccine was given to high risk people in many countries in the early 80s those who had TB. Guess what populations have HIV now the same countries. ... Hi :) I mostly lurk around the forums, but I have come across this board, and have a few questions. I was vaccinated all my life. I'm 18 years old now, and going into college to become a nurse's aide. Because I'm going to do this, I must get all my vaccines updated. How nessescary is this? They did a tetnus shot already, but I might need to have the chicken pox vaccine... (2 replies)
