... If it was a serious reaction, I wouldn't get it again. As a child, you get the DTP which is Diptheria/Tetanus/Pertussis (which is whooping cough). After seven years old, you get the Td vaccination from then on which doesn't have the pertussis vaccine in it. There is a new vaccine called Tdap which is a one time booster (instead of the typical Td) for teens and adults to boost... (1 replies)
