Gluten free does not necessarily mean weight loss (either desirable fat loss or undesirable muscle loss; fat versus muscle loss is an important distinction).

Indeed, if you were recently diagnosed with celiac disease and went gluten free in response, the healing of your intestine could cause you to absorb more nutrients from your food than before. This is a good thing in many ways, but you then have to be more careful about calorie balance to avoid fat gain.
I agree... there are many factors that can cause weight gain, and going gluten-free isn't really a way to lose weight necessarily. I still see a lot of not so great foods that are gluten-free. What kinds of meals do you typically eat each day?
