... Be careful with blood work on thyroid, sometimes it can be an inbalance of thyroid hormones causing you problems, not just a low lvl of overall thyroid. Try taking your body temperature for 4 days after waking before getting out of bed (underarm). If it's consistently under 78.7, then you might have a mild problem with your thyroid preventing you from losing more weight. ... (12 replies)

... I agree with janewhite1. A/D's are notorious for weight gain. Nerve meds are the same, Neurontin and Lyrica both will cause weight gain. I am dx'ed hypothyroidism and treated with Synthroid. If you don't really need thyroid meds I wouldn't push it. I have read studies that show increasing thyroid medications do not result in weight loss. I have tried so-called thyroid... (2 replies)
... Well, the antidepressants and nerve meds may be contributing to the weight problem. Still, it might help to log your food and exercise for a couple weeks, then take it to the doctor. If he can SEE that you really are controlling calories, he might reconsider the thyroid issue. (2 replies)

... Hi Are you currently taking any meds that could be hindering or stalling your weight loss?? Maybe change/kick up your exercise routine -try something totally new with it.... Another thing that I have been told is to "mix it up" as far as foods go....if you up your calories a few days a week your body may start to burn more to compensate.
